Queen Elizabeth Hospital is a major NHS healthcare facility serving Gateshead and the wider North East region. It provides a full range of acute medical services including emergency care, surgery, maternity, intensive care, and specialist treatments, operating as one of the area’s key hospitals for both planned and urgent healthcare. The hospital supports a large patient population and runs 24/7, with high daily footfall from patients, visitors, and staff. As an essential regional healthcare centre, it plays a vital role in delivering frontline medical services across the community.
Challenge:
Queen Elizabeth Hospital required a reliable and professional healthcare security service in the North East to support both its busy car parks and Accident & Emergency department. With high patient footfall, emergency admissions, and constant vehicle movement, the hospital faced ongoing challenges in maintaining safety, managing public behaviour, and ensuring a calm and controlled environment.
The key challenge was to provide a consistent hospital security presence capable of supporting vulnerable patients, assisting staff under pressure, and maintaining order in both the A&E department and surrounding parking areas.

We have been working closely with Andrew and the hospital team for over two years, delivering a dedicated healthcare security solution across the Queen Elizabeth Hospital site.
